[texinfo-pretest] What's <wbr>?

Besides the issues you raised so far, a feature I particularly miss in texinfo is alignment of columns (left,centered,right,decimal) in the @multitable environment.

Moreover I wonder something: given that tetex generally includes latex, why not thinking to guide texinfo versus latex typesetting, instead of plain tex? It whould be quite a complicated job, given that it is necessary to chose only latex commands and macro packages that have correspondent html/xml/docbook tags, but it may be worth considering in particular latex flexibility with encodings and languages.

What do you think about the idea? I hope not to sound as a heretics.

Another question: is texinfo capable to interact with bibtex? In which way? With which outputs (html, info, tex)?
