Some things are missing in the xml output of makeinfo that should be relevant 
for a LaTeX backend, for example @setchapternewpage, @smallbook, and maybe
others (texi2html doesn't parse those too, that stopped me from doing a latex
init file...).

Maybe there could be @latex and @iflatex constructs ?
